Nice look .Great features.Pace and steps/min are only displayed while doing the activity. But I have tried the atomatic calibration 4 times in the distance that they recommend and I have NEVER gotten a correct distance after my jogs. Thinking of returning it.

I have owned two of the Ironman watches and i must say that both are very good. The rubber strap is very comfortable and is rather light weight. The watch has all the needed modes (ie: stopwatch, timer, alarm) and each works easily with little complication. The watch is very easy to read with the time, date and day along with any modes running in the back round. I have also taken this watch scuba diving at 80 feet with no problem, and is fully waterproof. The night light works nicely, but late at night due to the green glow your eyes may take a second to adjust enough to read it. The only real problem i have found owning this watch is the "mode" button on the bottom left is in a spot that if the watch is at your wrist and you move your wrist up it may push this button. So when you look at the time you are in the timer or stopwatch mode instead. Neither of these two downsides are nearly large enough to not own this watch though.

I both agree and disagree with some of the reviews for this product. Granted, I have only had it a week, so I can't speak about durability/quality. I also haven't used the interval or recovery modes (and may never).

First, it is comfortable! I forget that I am even wearing the chest strap and my wrist is light as air. I am a large framed female with a normal BMI and as another reviewer stated, I can wear it under my sports bra. It is also a nice looking watch. The HRM seems very accurate and that part wasn't difficult to set up if you know your numbers. Although I have to say, plan to spend a little time with the manual. While somewhat intuitive, you still need to familiarize yourself with the functions of the buttons in each mode. The only down side is the calorie counter. I don't know how these devices usually calculate this, but this one, as well the rest, always give reading higher than what is actual. But that is not a flaw of this HRM, but of all of them in general.

This is a great product! The only way they could make it better is to design it to be as accurate without needing the chest strap. Then I would wear it all the time!

This is a classic sports watch. I owned a similar Timex model decades ago with the same functionality with the exception of the added split timer. This update has a sleeker design that includes easier access to its functions. So, you're not carrying a calculator around your wrist but you have easily accessible ways to time yourself in whatever way you choose. And for the price? Forgetaboutit!

After weeks of research, I purchased the Ironman 4000. It only took 30 mins to assemble, very easy. I love the ankle lock down system and lumbar support. If I am going to hang upside down I want to be locked in. This is an awesome inversion table my back alreadys is feeling better after 3 weeks. It also helps to stretch your core and hips. I highly recommend it!

I had pretty high expectations for the Timex to replace my existing HRM since I'd had one of the first Timex HRM's a while ago and was very pleased with it. However, after reading up in the training manual and strapping it on for my first workout, I noticed strange behavior; it read my resting heart rate spot on, but after starting my workout, it kept reading significantly low rates for the first half hour of the workout. It was like it kept "creeping up" on my heart rate. 15 minutes into the exercise, I should have been low 120's and it was still in the 80's and climbing. Towards the end of the workout it finally peaked over 160, and stayed there, when it should have been 130's to 140's. Strange! I thought maybe it was calibrating itself, but it did the same thing the next time out. Definitely a problem with it. I turned it back in, and decided to get a Suunto T4C HRM...much nicer IMHO.
